What the scribes says about me

Well, I’m sure the scribes say WAY worse things when I’m not around. But, as they write this, I am breathing down their necks as my dragon, Cali, threatens to lick them to death. In all honesty, I’m a guy trying to carve his own trail in the writing world. I’ve indie-published two of my own books (I know, I said the “indi” word; I can hear Penguin Publishers rattling in their boots now). I do also have a short story called “The Tinkerer” in an anthology published by a New England press. I’m from a little dot in New Hampshire that you’ve never heard of, yet I’m sure your folks have been to, back in its heyday, when they were kids. I’ve also started branching out into science-fiction, which has led to meeting a lot of good friends. I do have to say though, my writing is very dark. I am greatly inspired by Tolkien (who I worship. No, I’m serious, I’ve denied trick-or-treat candy to those who haven’t read “The Hobbit”). So I believe there should always be a clear line of hero and villain. But, my work does differ from his in the ways that not everyone survives, and if they do, it’s because their sword broke off with enough of an edge to stab the other guy. I make this promise to you now: I cannot guarantee any character’s survival; I can’t even tell you if the good guys will win. You should read my first book and you’ll understand what I mean. But while you’re here, reading this, which this part was just to waste some of your time (ha-ha!), I hope you have fun. Feel free to message me; I always enjoy a good conversation with a fellow fantasy-nut.

To your right is me holding my "vicious" dragon. But if any of you call my girlfriend that, I'll knock your teeth out. Oh yeah, and that creature being forced to smile is my dog, Cali.
